Vacay Day 5

Today was Randy’s last day of work.  When he got off at noon we went wandering around.  We had lunch at Ruby Tuesday’s… scrumptious salad bar, watermelon margarita, and peach sangria.

We found downtown Raleigh, saw the capitol, a life size copy of the Liberty Bell, NC Museum of History, and NC Sports Hall of Fame.  Randy really enjoyed the Civil War portion of the museum.

While driving around after lunch, we stumbled on a rose garden.  For those of you who want to see all 91 pictures, go to my Photobucket link.  For those of you not as fascinated with roses as I am, here are the highlights.  :)

In our exploring of North Carolina, we found Baskin Robbins Ice Cream stores with Dunkin Donuts.  It’s been years since we had BR ice cream and it was hot, so we stopped for a cool treat… iced coffee for Randy and bubble gum and chocolate chip cookie dough for me.

Stay tuned for more adventures in NC tomorrow.
