Emma Time

This past Saturday Randy and I got to keep Emma for Steve to take Meredith out for her birthday.  They got some shopping in, too, for their trip to Disney next week.  We had a great time with this busy little one.  Every occasion we get to keep her is a pleasure.  Take a few minutes and share our joy.

New Soldier in the Family

February 21, 2012

Eli's long term goal is to be a doctor.  To move that journey along, she joined the Army National Guard today.  She has secured a position as a combat medic with a unit in San Antonio.

She begins weekend training on March 2nd and goes to basic training at Fort Sill on June 11th.  This will be followed by 16 weeks of medic training in San Antonio.

We are very proud of Eli, her decision to be a doctor, and the steps she's taking to get there.  Read more about it from her on this post.

Happy Birthday, Meredith!

Tonight we celebrated Meredith's birthday with her, Steve, Emma, Andrew, and Heather. We went to The Blue Fish. The kids had sushi, one of their favorites. Of course, Randy and I had fun with Emma and visiting with the "kids." :)

Winter Band Concert

This week Daniel played in Poteet's Winter Band Concert.  It still amazes me that these performers are in high school.  They are very good.

Happy Valentine's Day to my love

This Valentine's Day was quiet for Randy and me, yet romantic and perfect.

My dear sweet husband bought a dozen peach roses and brought them to school for me.  After work we had a delicious dinner at Johnny Carino's, complete with Bellinis and mini desserts.

Our plan was to spend a quiet evening watching NCIS after dinner.  I didn't last even until the first episode started at 7.  LOL!

This year was our 12th Valentine's Day to celebrate together.  Thus, a dozen roses.  :)  Randy got a tiny red mailbox with 12 Reese's peanut butter cups and 12 kisses with his card.

I guess we're meant to be together.  The cards we bought each other said almost the exact same thing!  Ah, ain't love grand?!

I love the color accent feature on my camera.  It's so fun.
