Spring Break Prelude and Day 1 - BU and Pleasant View

My Spring Break started with working late until 6pm to get enough done I don't have to think about school for the week.  That exciting adventure was followed by a trip the dentist Saturday morning.  After an hour and a half in the chair, I'm two steps closer to having my dental work finished.  It's been about a 2 year process so far.

Sunday was spent trying to recover from the dentist and packing for our road trip.  Randy and I picked up Daniel James and dropped off Collin with Andrew and Heather.  Then we were off to Waco, Austin, and our first final destination, San Antonio.

Since Daniel is only a year and a half away from high school graduation and looking forward to college, we drove around Baylor.  Randy being the loyal alum that he is was able to give him a good tour.  The campus was pretty deserted with it being Spring Break.  We looked for the bears, but they, too, had gone for Spring Break.

Student Center is named Daniel
Daniel Student Center is on Daniel Esplinade.

After leaving Waco we drove a bit further south to Troy and visited the cemetery where my mother is buried.  Pleasant View Cemetery is a very peaceful place out in the country up on a hill.  There are horses and cows on one side, a couple of houses on another side, and nothing to the west and north.
