Last Harvest of 2010

The mild weather we had in the fall allowed the garden to continue producing some things until January.  Our freeze and snow on January 9th marked the end of the garden for this year.

Randy harvested the Brussels sprouts, broccoli, and lettuce that were still hanging on.  We had Dad over for dinner.  I cooked a corned beef brisket, cabbage, and corn muffins to go with the salad, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts.  It was delicious.

Yummy food and greater company

Happy Hibernation, Garden.  We'll see you in the spring.

  1. I am certainly going to miss those fresh vegetable meals. Next year should be exciting. We should have a full crop of blackberries and lots of peaches, possibly even an apple or two to go along with the vegetable garden.
