Stars and Stripes Forever

Heavenly Hibiscus

Once the inferno temperatures went down and 5 tornadoes blew through Texas, the hibiscus are flowering unbelievably beautiful flowers.  The most we've seen is 6 blooms on one plant in a day.  Hibiscus bloom for one day and are gone.  We have four bushes, one red, one orange, and two peach.  They have grown so much they have almost earned a permanent spot in the yard to get out of their planters.  :)

Happy Birthday, Mom Walker!

This past weekend, Randy and I had the honor of celebrating his mother’s birthday with the family.  Renee Walker is a wonderful lady I have the good fortune of being related to.

Planning for Fall

Randy is planning a fall garden this year.  In anticipation of that event, he attended a gardening class and bought new seeds.  Stay tuned to see how it works out.

Collin's New Friend

Today we had two dogs show up at school. One of our third grade teachers took one of them home with her. They came by to visit Collin and me. :) Ladybug and Collin look enough a like to be siblings, but she is a bit bigger. They didn't play very nicely at first, but warmed up to each other after a bit.
