M&M Butterfly Cupcakes

I had the honor of making cupcakes for Emma's third birthday.  They turned out adorable.  The party was "M's," as Emma calls them.  I made strawberry and chocolate cupcakes and decorated them with M&Ms to make butterflies.

Baked strawberry and chocolate cupcakes.

Color frosting green for grass.

Ice cooled cupcakes.

Refrigerate to set icing.

Dip pretzels in warmed icing.

Cover with pink sugar.

Put green M&M's around the edge of the cupcake.

Place Peanut M&M's for the butterfly's body.

Make antennas with licorice strings.

Insert pretzel wings into cupcake.

I made a caterpillar cupcake, too.  :)

Fun and yummy, too!

I got to cook dinner for my dad for his 79th birthday.  Bennett happened to be in town, so we celebrated his birthday (August 31st), too.  Sarah and Daniel Weyandt joined us for dinner.  Eli came by after work.  We had homemade succotash from the garden, spinach, and cake and ice cream.
